20 March 2017

It has been an excessively long time since I have last written.

                                                                                           A lot has changed.

                                Too much.

                                                                  And not enough.
                                                                                                       All at once.

               ALL.

              AT.

              ONCE.

                                                                           Love each other, friends.

That is how we move forward.

                  Bisous,
                                   her grace.

I love this man - he is one of the most inspiring individuals in the world. His artwork is the illustration of my childhood. If you have a moment, please take a look at this blog, read his books and admire his artwork.

One day, I would like to bake a batch of panettone together.

Tony's Bread (Paperstar Book): Tomie dePaola.
 Thank you, Tomie.

A Musical Journey

Dear Readers,

On a day like this when the weather cannot make up it's mind, I find I have to keep my spirits up. These are the easiest way to do so, in this order:

#1. The Most Important Part - Beginning.
Sing this to yourself. Over and over and over until all your troubles go away.

 Dance to this.

Feel invincible by pretending you're on your way to New York to "Make it!"
Kudos if you are actually on your way there!

Remember those days when you fell in love for the first time.
It's okay to cry a bit at this point.

Because you're going to pick yourself back up with this.

And kick butt with this.

And this.

And then you're going to sing along with this.
And remember that life is too short for stupid things.

Then you're going to challenge the world.

Now.

Take some time to breathe, take some time for yourself.
Quiet your brain.
Okay, I'll say it.
Meditate.
I like this one.

Enjoy.
Your.
Life.
It is short.

With Love,
Her Grace.

28 February 2013

That beautiful smell and sight when you pour your first cup in the morning....

Whether it's coffee....

Or tea....

Or that moment where you can't decide which,
so you just take both.

Option #3 - This is me.

27 February 2013

Dear Readers -

All that talk of summer which had lead to faeries... well, it got me to thinking about how they are the epitome of summer.
                        Mischief.
                                                     Frolicking.
                                                                                 Sparkling lights.
                                                                                                                            Bonfires.
                                                                                                   Luminescence.
                                       Practical jokes.
     Honeyed wine.
                                                                                     Delight.

                        Flowers.

In hindsight, it also brought up memories of the pianist/composer, Gary Stadler, whom I discovered when I was very, very young. I fell in love with his music. It was ethereal. It was new. It was fun. It sounded like those summer nights that I would hunt for faeries. So, for those who have not heard his work, I introduce you.

Because it's fun and everyone should remember their inner-faery-hunting child.
It's never too late to stop growing up.

Dear Readers -

Is it bad that, still being February, I'm wearing shorts and vehemently denying that it's cold out?

Rain means it's too warm to snow. Therefore, it must mean that it is shorts weather.

..... right?

 Sunshine. Warmth. Flowers.
(with blossoms the size of your face)

Walks through the woods, to splash in the stream.

Exploring overgrown, mysterious pathways.
(That will ideally lead to faeries)

City sidewalks with faces that smile at you as you walk by.

Hiding under the rosebush, hoping to find faeries.
(Hopefully, not getting stuck with thorns)

Perhaps actually find a faery...
(who is covered in glitter and strikingly resembles Rupert Everett....)
Yes, please.
